Ryan Reynolds demonstrates impressive James McClean knowledge after Wrexham transfer

Irish centurion James McClean made the surprising step down the English footballing ladder yesterday, when it was announced that the 34-year-old had signed for League Two side Wrexham. Joining the newly promoted side on an initial one year deal from Wigan Athletic, McClean spoke to the his decision to play in the fourth tier of English football;

"The ambition and drive that this club has to succeed was a major factor in coming here. It speaks for itself and I will give every single ounce of myself to help with that."

Famously boasting the Hollywood ownership duo of actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, McClean's new club have returned to League Two for the first time since 2008. And now Ryan Reynolds hopes that McClean's experience can steer them on to the next level yet again, with the ambitious owning stating;

"I spoke with James, as did Rob, and we're super excited. Not just because he is an enormous talent and a huge addition to the team, but he's a leader and he's one of these guys you speak to and you immediately are filled with confidence. "You understand that he understands what's ahead of him and the job that he needs to do. He's going to be amazing in the locker room and he brings a ton of experience. "He's like a lot of the players in our locker room, and it's one of the things I'm most proud of, that the heads of the guys in the locker room, there is a humility to them, they work really hard and they all take this deadly seriously. "James is no different and I can't wait to have him here, he's going to be amazing."
