Sorry Manchester United fans, but it is looking more and more likely that Ryan Giggs will end his nearly three decades-long association with your club.
The former winger is set to announce his departure from the club he joined on his 14th birthday some time this week, and it appears that the Welshman already has a new gig lined up.
After being overlooked by Manchester United brass in favour of Jose Mourinho for the top job, Giggs was offered a role as the Portuguese's assistant but he has apparently refused that offer.
Instead, Giggs will drop down to the Championship in order to cut his managerial teeth with a Nottingham Forest side that have been searching for a full-time manager since Dougie Freedman left the City Ground in March.

Giggs was given the Manchester United job on a caretaker basis after David Moyes was sacked in his first and only season in charge at Old Trafford.
Many United fans hoped that the club would then give the job to him on a permanent basis, but instead Louis van Gaal was brought in. After the Dutchman left following a successful FA Cup campaign, Giggs - who has 963 appearances from his time at United - was once again overlooked.
The 42-year-old will now hope to lead Forest back to the Premier League for the first time since 1999 after a disappointing 16th-place finish last time out.
