Ronny Deila slams Irish striker Anthony Stokes for his behaviour on social media

In the 21st century, players' Twitter activity is just another element for football managers to worry about.

And Celtic manager Ronny Deila has seemingly been keeping a keen eye on Anthony Stokes' Twitter as he has heavily criticised the Dubliner's online comments on Sunday morning. Stokes voiced his frustration at being left out of the Hoops starting XI during this weekend's away game against Inverness, saying "who gives a fuck about wages when you're not playing games?" The striker has since apologised for his comments but his club manager still called him out after Celtic's 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon. "It is (disrespectful) for the boys," Deila said. We travel every week with 20 players and the manager puts out 11 and seven on the bench and there are always two left out.

"If that is harder for him than somebody else, then for me he is not a team player.

"What is important with Stokesy is that he has to show the work first before he speaks and if you do that then you always have a future. But so far he has been more talking than performances."
