Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United news is reportedly “premature”

OK, everyone take a breath.

That was a pretty crazy morning. It began with rumours that Alvaro Morata's transfer to Manchester United would be completed in a matter of hours but, all of a sudden, reports emerged that a deal had been agreed to bring Everton's Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford for a fee of £75 million. Well-connected Mirror journalist, Darren Lewis, has claimed that Chelsea remain in the race for the Belgian powerhouse, contrary to initial reports that they'd been beaten to the punch. https://twitter.com/MirrorDarren/status/882897199562141696 Similarly, and perhaps more credibly, Jim White has also insisted that the reports were premature.
