Rodri is reportedly set to miss the rest of the season due to an ACL injury, according to various reports.
According to MARCA, the tests that the player has undergone in Manchester indicate a torn cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The definite diagnosis won't be issued until a few hours, however, as the player will soon undergo definitive tests in Spain.
Rodri is currently travelling to Madrid to have further examinations on the serious injury.
Regarding the potential operation, he plans to make a series of appointments to find the best possible solution.
A major loss for Pep Guardiola and the Spanish national team, Rodri is a crucial player for both club and country.
He came off in the 16th minute of the first half yesterday and 24 hours later it is likely to soon be confirmed the extent of his injury.
