The Irish striker had three sighters at goal in the first-half but was off-target with each attempt
Los Angeles Galaxy reached the Major League Soccer final despite losing 2-1 to the Seattle Sounders in their Western Conference decider.
Galaxy began the evening a goal to the good from the first leg but a strike from Brad Evans, after a scramble in the box, and Clint Dempsey's crisp strike (below) have the hosts in command. An away goal, however, was all LA needed to edge ahead on the away goal rule.
That is exactly what happened on 54 minutes as Galaxy midfielder Juninho scored with a low drive that went in via the base of the Seattle post.
'I'm so proud of our guys out there,' said Galaxy captain Landon Donovan. 'We had a bad 10 minutes in the first half but what character to come back and get that goal. We deserved this... We want to go get that cup.'
