Two Irish players make it onto list of most in-form footballers set to feature at Euro 2016

Ahead of Euro 2016, UEFA have compiled a list of the most in-form players set to feature at the tournament.

'The Player Barometer' tracks footballers' form ahead of and during the tournament, using players' statistics to create a ranking system. According to UEFA: 'Player data from qualifying formed the initial basis for the rankings, which have taken into account performances for club and country from 1 January 2016. This gives a unique and comprehensive evaluation of players' form when UEFA EURO 2016 kicks off, after which the Barometer will track which players are excelling in the tournament itself'. Ahead of the tournament, Robbie Brady is in a respectable 56th position, and Shane Long is in 66th place.Norwich City and Republic of Ireland defender Brady is sandwiched between Pepe and Chris Smalling, three places ahead of Andreas Iniesta and ahead of Anthony Martial who is in 63rd position. Cristiano Ronaldo is in first place, Zlatan Ibrahimovic in second and Antoine Griezmann in third. James Milner is in fourth position, so make of that what you will. The Liverpool and England midfielder is an earnest, useful player, and has had a successful career, but there's something unsettling about this image.
