Eunan O'Kane has come under fierce criticism from Leeds United fans after being sent off for a head-butt during their 1-0 defeat to Ipswich. The game was scoreless but turned in the Tractor Boys' favour when the Republic of Ireland midfielder clashed with Jonas Knudsen in the 37th-minute. Referee Robert Jones was left with no option but to brandish a straight red for O'Kane after he head-butted the defender, and his dismissal sparked an angry response from his own fans. https://twitter.com/bealolufc/status/952209901685747713 https://twitter.com/TheSquareBall/status/952207019863433216 https://twitter.com/Dave_Archbold/status/952218636445454337 https://twitter.com/tonylewis92/status/952223974687215616 https://twitter.com/marcwebber/status/952204996912865286 Although it's not a game O'Kane will remember fondly, the 27-year-old has been one Leeds' most consistent performers in the Championship this season. The former Bournemouth man, who has seven Ireland caps to his name, now faces a three-match suspension.
