Mourinho has been officially relieved of his duties after recording one of the most inconceivable falls from graces in Premier League history.
The Portuguese, who had guided the Blues to the league title last season, has only managed four wins out of sixteen this season and leaves the London club one point above the bottom three.
Mourinho left Stamford Bridge in 2007 and returned in 2013 by popular demand but this is surely the end of his relationship with Roman Abramovich.
