As the Happy Mondays once sang, call the cops

An amateur footballer in Turkey was arrested at the weekend for attempting to contest his sending off with knife-in-hand. Sakaraya player Hamza Sari was sent off by referee Yunus Yildirim in the closing stages of his team's Group B match against Kuzulukspor. Sari stormed off for an early bath, was struck by a burning ire and tried to get back onto the pitch with a blade concealed behind his back. Fortunately for all involved, including the player, he was apprehended and brought to the ground before he could drive home whatever point he was intending on making. http://youtu.be/riFdrm1FSJE Media outlets in Turkey say Sari was taken to the police station to explain his actions but no charges were made against him. The match ended in a 4-3 win for Kuzulukspor. Hat-tip Allsports
