Real Madrid have reportedly ‘made initial contact’ with Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to reports.
The England international is an integral part of Arne Slot's rejuvenated Reds side, with his team winning a near-perfect five out of six league fixtures so far this season.
In Europe, Slot's outfit have won both games, boasting a 100% record in the Champions League following victories over Italian outfits AC Milan and Bologna.
Alexander-Arnold will be eyeing his second Champions League trophy this season as Liverpool look to become a huge force in Europe.
However, reports from Relevo today state that 'contacts have been made' between the player and Spanish giants Real Madrid.
His current Liverpool contract expires in 2025 and a renewal has yet to be agreed.
In fact, it is reported that renewal proposals have been 'rejected' and the most recent offer remains unanswered.
"Everything is open", according to the outlet.
Additionally, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano left a cryptic retweet on an earlier tweet posted regarding the player's future.
A post originally published on March 22, 2024, it read:
"Real Madrid are monitoring Trent Alexander-Arnold's contract situation at Liverpool.
"Current deal expires in June '25 with no talks underway as of now.
"Liverpool have not indicated any desire to sell at this stage. There's no indication of player's views so far."
