Celtic players are never popular on the blue side of Glasgow.

But more contempt than usual is reserved by Rangers supporters for Leigh Griffiths, who is not shy about making his allegiances to the Hoops known on a regular basis. Only last month, Griffiths' response to a heckling Gers fan at Glasgow airport summed up the forward's feelings on his club's fiercest rivals. "Your club's dead, mate. Beat it!" Griffiths replied. The Scotland international is Celtic through and through and he relishes the chance to wind up Rangers supporters, which is precisely what he managed during the first Old Firm clash of the season. Griffiths scored Celtic's second goal as Brendan Rodgers' side condemned the hosts to a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox but it was his behaviour from corner kicks that irked the home fans more than his goal. Shortly after half-time, with the score finely poised at 0-0, Griffiths sauntered over to take a corner but, before he sent the ball into the box, he felt the need to wipe his nose and then saw fit to rub whatever was on his fingertips against the Rangers flag. It will surprise nobody to learn that the move has not gone down at all well. https://twitter.com/Gordon11Murphy/status/911562372254502913 https://twitter.com/T_martin_11/status/911562447756161025 https://twitter.com/gazzasrt/status/911562482430431232 https://twitter.com/Serjeant_Buzfuz/status/911562515846500352 https://twitter.com/lee_lfc_/status/911562792406265857 https://twitter.com/MarshKelly/status/911577093493977088
