Liverpool got off to a forgettable start during their EFL Cup semi-final first leg against Southampton, with a mistake from Ragnar Klavan letting in Nathan Redmond for the opening goal just 20 minutes in.

The Estonian has been a welcome addition since arriving from Augsburg over the summer, with the Reds winning 7 of the 10 Premier League games in which he has featured. It makes a change from recent seasons, when Martin Škrtel was often an accident waiting to happen in the back four. But finding himself guilty of such an error on a day with some relevance to the Slovakia international was only going to end one way for the 31-year-old. https://twitter.com/TVsCarlKinsella/status/819274432304861195 https://twitter.com/AlexHogfather/status/819274888892612608 https://twitter.com/BenWellsFotbl/status/819274418421714947 https://twitter.com/JoeParry_96/status/819274187047108608 https://twitter.com/Ashy10/status/819274251450613760 https://twitter.com/Banburygoose/status/819274573220823044
