We’ve all dreamed of winning big on the weekend acca, but on Tuesday night one punter won the ultimate 18-leg bet, with a bizarre selection.
A 32-year-old Paddy Power punter from Essex turned £10 into £200k (€230k) with an astonishing bet on Tuesday’s EFL Cup action.
The punter backed over 9.5 corners in all 18 matches, and every single match came in.
Incredibly, five of the 18 matches won by only a single corner, while another two won by only two corners.
Accrington v Peterborough, Coventry v Luton, Stoke v Walsall, West Brom v Derby and Wrexham v Hull all had 10 corners, with the bet coming in by the skin of its teeth.
A spokesperson from Paddy Power commented: “The first round of the Carabao Cup rarely produces the stuff of dreams - except for this plucky punter, who’s gone from flags to riches with an unbelievable 18-leg corner acca.
“While ballboys across the country were probably cursing the extra workload, our Essex-based customer was far too busy celebrating after turning a tenner into nearly £200k. Fair play!”

Presenter Eoin McDevitt brought up the fact that […]
