Another Irish international has been snapped up by Arsenal Ladies.
Katie McCabe has become the latest Irish woman to join the Londoners, after agreeing a move from Shelbourne FC. She follows in the footsteps of a long line of talented Irish players to play for Arsenal Ladies, including Emma Byrne, Ciara Grant and Yvonne Tracy.
The promising 20-year-old, who previously played for Raheny United, has already racked up six senior caps for the Republic of Ireland, having made her debut against Hungary in March 2015. She also played a pivotal role in the Ireland Under-19s side that reached the semi-finals of the European under-19 Championships in 2014.
Arsenal manager Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are delighted to welcome Katie to the club. She is a fantastic young talent, who is full of potential, and I look forward to her continued progress with us in the season ahead.”
