Abuse, abuse and more abuse – 24 hours on a Premier League Twitter account

Football fans are very angry.

Football fans on Twitter are clinically unwell, by and large. There's no balanced thinking anymore - not on the internet anyway. You're so far on one side that you can't see the other and you're violently aggressive until someone listens to you. Anger has replaced support. Anger is how you show your support now. And, it doesn't matter who you are or how you're doing, assume your fans on social media are not happy. Especially if you're Manchester United. But especially if you're Villa. We took a look at the random midweek posts from every Premier League club in the last 24 hours and the results were exactly as we expected: mass outrage.
