Friday, August 5.

We kick off the new Premier League season with a trip to Selhurst Park, as former Arsenal players Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta test their managerial wits against each other. Arteta is bringing his Arsenal side to take on Crystal Palace, and both teams will have several of their new signings on show, including Gabriel Jesus, Fábio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Chris Richards and Cheick Doucouré. Saturday, August 6.

The Premier League action begins early on Saturday, with newly promoted Fulham hosting last season's runners-up Liverpool at Craven Cottage. Kick-off there is 12:30pm and you can stream that encounter with a NOW Sports Extra Membership. Later that day, Frank Lampard puts his Everton team up against Chelsea, with who he played with for over a decade. Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market, with plenty of ins and outs. More players are expected at Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes but, for now, they have smartly recruited Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Carney Chukwuemeka. Everton have lost Richarlison and Jonjoe Kenny, over the summer, but have snapped up Burnley pair James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil. Sunday, August 7.

On Sunday, it is the turn of the two big Manchester clubs. Manchester United may hand competitive debuts to Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martínez and Tyrell Malacia in their opening game of the Premier League season - a home tie with Brighton. Graham Potter's men handed United a resounding 4-0 defeat in their last league encounter, so Erik ten Hag and United will be extra keen to get off to a winning start. Pep Guardiola's men may have lost the Community Shield to Liverpool, but they will be out to send out a statement to all the chasing pack.
