A Premier League boss has been questioned by police over the alleged rape of a teenage girl.
According to The Sun, the manager is a ‘well-known football figure’, with the incident rumoured to have taken place a number of years ago.
They added that the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in question voluntarily attended a police station with his solicitor on Monday and was interviewed under caution but not arrested.
He reportedly denies all allegations, with police reportedly unsure on whether to charge him or take no further action.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Met received a crime report regarding an historic rape allegation.
“On Monday, June 12, a man was interviewed under caution at a police station.”
In the report it’s suggested that the man met the alleged victim after she applied to work for an organisation that he was a part of at the time.
