The Belgian was beginning to make a name for himself in the Wolfsburg team when he passed away after the car in which he was travelling crashed into a tree and he was thrown from the vehicle.
Countless tributes poured in for the popular young prospect who had represented Belgium from U15 level all the way up to the U21s.
And four months removed from the devastating accident, Wolfsburg are keen to show that Malanda is still in their thoughts as they included a special homage to the player on their home kit for their DFB-Pokal Final with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The jersey features a green heart above the club badge with the number 19 inside it (Malanda's squad number).
We think the Wolfsburg players will be motivated beyond belief with the memory of Malanda resting quite literally on their hearts.
