Just like the Super Bowl winners, the MLS champs get rings rather than medals
We've always liked the idea of rings for winning championships rather than medals. True, there are lads in Kerry and Kilkenny who have so many they could string their Celtic Crosses across their chest like Mr T but most just sit in drawers or safes, and never see any daylight.
At least a ring, no matter who huge, can be worn out and about, just so everyone knows you are indeed a winner.
We dearly hope Robbie Keane wears this number the next time he is back for an Ireland game. Last night the LA Galaxy presented their players with their 2014 MLS championship rings and they are pretty snazzy.
