We hope you're not having your Sunday tea when you take a gander at the injury picked up by Paul McShane today.
Marouane Fellaini saw red late on during Manchester United's 0-0 draw with Hull for a studs-up challenge on the Irishman. Pictures captured by Kevin Quigley of the Daily Mail display the gruesomeness of the gash, as well as the considerable number of staples required to close the cut.

The challenge was a nasty one that means that Fellaini will now miss the first three games of the 2015-16 season.
But with Hull's relegation and this horrible laceration, it's safe to say that McShane had a worse day than the United midfielder.Explore more on these topics:
