PIC: Sunderland fans display sinister banner depicting Jack Colback’s death

We don't mind admitting that we're a little bit scared by this.
This picture popped up on our Twitter feed ahead of the Wear-Tyne derby and it's unnerving to say the least. The banner depicts the hanging of former Sunderland player Jack Colback who made the move to Newcastle at the start of this season, a switch which was always going to piss off hardcore fans of the Black Cats.
The midfielder is sure to get a hostile reception when he returns to the Stadium of Light for the derby in the late kick-off this afternoon but we reckon signs like this are a little bit much.Explore more on these topics:
