PIC: Lionel Messi’s right foot is in an awful way after latest injury

If you can't beat him, try to break his feet.

If Manuel Pellegrini wasn't such a nice fella then we reckon that would have been the advice he gave to Martin Demichelis on how to deal with Lionel Messi. The Barcelona forward picked up a fairly unnerving knock to his right foot in the Champions League round of 16 second leg tie with Manchester City. Agencia Telam released the above picture, reportedly to be Messi's injury sustained at the hands of Argentina teammate Demichelis in that game. Messi was able to play in Barcelona's subsequent game, against Real Madrid, but the swelling on his right foot has yet to subside. A scan didn't reveal any serious injuries but the fact that he can't pull a shoe on without feeling pain (according to Argentina coach Tata Martino) will be worrying news for Barca fans.
