For diehard supporters, it's sacrilege to wear the colours of another team, but for even the more moderate, casual supporter, it makes no sense to sport another team's colours alongside your own.

The Republic of Ireland's game against Italy in Lille is one game where it just makes absolutely no sense to support both teams. Italy are through regardless of the score, and Ireland need a win to progress.
So there's no need for a half and half scarf - other than as a piece of memorabilia from the game - nevermind a half and half jersey.
