Either there was a mix-up or Jose Mourinho has invented an unorthodox man-marking system.
When Thiago Silva guided in that header in extra-time on Wednesday, he dashed Chelsea's hopes of European glory for another year. The Parisians over came the odds by defeating the Blues on goal difference after playing most of the game with 10-men and conceding in the first half of extra time.
However, Thiago Silva redeemed himself for giving away the penalty that put the Londoners 2-1 up by scoring that all-important final goal, but he might not have if two Blues didn't make an embarrassing defensive error.
When the corner that Silva scored from was being taken, either John Terry or Gary Cahill (or possibly both) seemed to get massively confused over what team they played for. The Chelsea defenders were both seen marking each other as the ball was played in, leaving the Brazilian to fire in that coup de grace to kill the game off.
