We've always like Benoit Assou-Ekotto and he continues to go up in our estimation.

The Cameroon defender has been out of favour at Tottenham since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino and was released from his contract on the final day of the transfer window. And the delighted Assou-Ekotto was quick to celebrate his newfound freedom, changing his Twitter avatar to the image below. He also hit out at Tottenham with a reference to Braveheart on Instagram but that has since been deleted. Twitter assou ekotto
