Udinese's danger area was made quite clear by the formation used by AC Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.

During Milan's 3-2 victory on Tuesday night, this strange back four set-up was employed by the Serbian manager where three defenders were camped on the right side of defence while Mattia De Sciglio was left all on his lonesome at left-back. It's likely to drive symmetry-obsessed OCD sufferers insane as it's not often that we see one whole half of a team so stacked while the other flank looks very sad altogether. milan-defensive-formation-vs-udinese-sep-2015 We can kind of understand sticking an extra man or two on a player such as Lionel Messi but it can't be a good idea to have both centre-halves and your right back in one tiny area of the pitch. We like the idea but don't think that this formation can be sustained for a full season without being exploited. Back to the drawing board, Sinisa.
