Paul Pogba might not have found his way on to the scoresheet in the wee hours of Sunday morning but he still managed to thrill the Manchester United supporters who stayed up half the night to watch their club get their pre-season tour underway.
United recorded a resounding 5-2 victory over LA Galaxy at the StubHub Centre; with Marcus Rashford, Marouane Fellaini, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial all finding the net.
What stood out for many fans, however, was a piece of passing wizardry from Pogba which ultimately set up Martial's goal.
After taking the ball on the halfway line, the French midfielder held off an opposition player before he got his head up and spotted the run from Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
With remarkable accuracy in finding the gap between full-back and centre-half, Pogba also came up with the perfect pace to ensure that the ball wouldn't go out play before Fosu-Mensah could latch on to it.

As new signing Romelu Lukaku made a near-post run, Martial pulled away from his marker and gave Fosu-Mensah the simplest of cutbacks before the France international hit the target in style.
It was a tidy finish but all that anybody could talk about was the 50-yard diagonal from Pogba.
