In a game they really needed to win, Ireland came up disappointingly short.
With Germany and group leaders Poland both winning their respective group games on Saturday, Ireland desperately needed all three points against the Scots.

Unsurprisingly, the consensus on social media was that the result was a huge let down. Some praised the Boys in Green for their effort against the Scots while others put it down to "same old Ireland, missing out on another major tournament".
