Former Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender Paul McCarthy has passed away at the age of just 45 following a suspected heart attack.
A former underage team-mate of Roy Keane at Rockmount in Cork, we also played alongside the former Manchester United captain at international level.

He made 217 appearances for Brighton before moving on to Wycombe, where he contributed to their historic FA Cup run in 2001.
