And it definitely got the better of Paul Lambert.
The former Norwich boss was a breath of fresh air originally. He took the Canaries up through the divisions and straight to mid-table in the Premier League before he came to Villa Park.
At first, he got them playing good football and kept them afloat on a shoestring budget.
Then the crowd got more demanding, fear crept in and the Scotsman obviously endured a few sleepless nights as he failed to push the club on.
He appeared on Setanta Sports for the first game of the season though to call his old club away to Bournemouth and, by God, what a difference half a year outside of management can do for you.
Put the feet up, Paul. You look much better now.
