ITV chiefs have clearly had a word in Patrice Evra's ear.
Evra found himself the subject of plenty of criticism last week when he was accused of patronising fellow pundit Eni Aluko during her analysis on ITV. The Frenchman appeared surprised by Aluko's insight into Costa Rica's Joel Campbell and applauded her point, prompting accusations of sexism from several viewers.
Evra was back on ITV on Saturday night, providing his take on the Germany vs. Sweden game alongside fellow former Manchester United players Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Henrik Larsson.
A typically cutting line from Keane following the full-time whistle tickled Evra as the former United left-back broke into hysterics after Keane mocked Germany's Jerome Boateng for his shoe collection.
Prior to Boateng's late red card, the commentators discussed the defender's obsession with fancy footwear and claimed that he owns 650 pairs of shoes.
"They spoke about him having 650 pairs of shoes. Well, he can't be right upstairs," Keane said to waves of laughter in the studio.
Nobody enjoyed it more than Evra, whose signature chuckle was followed by a brief round of applause before he caught himself and muttered to Larsson: "Oh, sorry. No clap. They said no claps anymore."
