It looks like Sean St Ledger's American dream has come to an end.
MLS side Orlando city have confirmed the release of Sean St. Ledger "for a serious breach of club policy."
St. Ledger only managed 15 games for Orlando but looked like he was starting to nail down a first team slot of late, having started five league matches in a row. However, the Lions announced that they would be taking him off the books, which will open up an international spot on Orlando City's roster and free up $124,992 of their salary.
The team are currently in a three-way fight for a playoff spot for the MLS Cup playoffs, and now have just seven defenders on their roster following the departure of the 37-times capped Irish man.
