Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to receive £7.5 million per year at Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly receive an annual salary of £7.5million per year after penning a new three-year-deal with the club earlier this week.

Solskjaer replaced former manager Jose Mourinho on an interim basis in December of last year and he has got off to a terrific start as Manchester United manager with 14 wins from his first 19 games in charge at Old Trafford. By comparison, Solskjaer will receive more money than Jurgen Klopp [£7 million], Unai Emery [£6 million] and Maurizio Sarri [£5.15 million] but less than Mauricio Pochettino [£8.5 million] and half as much as Pep Guardioloa [£15 million]. The Mirror report that the Norwegian will earn £7.5million-a-year in his new deal and the former United striker added that he feels that the United job is the dream posting for any football interested person.

"It’s truly an honour," said Solskjaer. "I think everyone knows, and I’ve spoken about it in the last few months, that this is the dream job for any football-interested man, especially anyone who has been involved with Man United. Being given the opportunity now to move the club forward, with all the potential there is, it’s fantastic. "I wouldn’t have said yes if I wasn’t looking forward to it and if I didn’t believe in the club and in the potential and in what we’re doing. I feel, and I hope, that I can do this job justice, that’s the first thing I asked myself when I got the call a few months back and hopefully now I can improve on it.”
