In a statement released through the club's website, Noble said:
“I would like to apologise to everyone associated with Notts County. Firstly, to the Manager, who picks me to play, I’m now not available for selection. Also to Greg [Abbott], who put his faith in me to bring me to Notts County, which is an amazing club to play for, a massive club, and I have let them down again. “I would also like to apologise to all my players, I have let them down massively, and to the Chairman [Ray Trew] and Aileen [Trew], who pay my wages every week and I’m not available to repay them on the pitch. “Most importantly, I would like to apologise to the fans. I’ve let down all of the travelling fans that were there yesterday and all of the fans following the game. “I have also let myself down and my family and I will work hard to improve this side of my game. I wear my heart on my sleeve and sometimes get caught up in the moment, but I will be working hard to stop this,” he added. “I just really want to apologise to everyone associated with Notts County Football Club and to assure them that I will be working hard to put this side of my game right. “Being a professional footballer means the world to me and I appreciate what I have got and appreciate the support the fans have given me, which is why it hurts so much to have let them down but also why I am so determined to put this right.”A simple "I'm sorry" would have sufficed.
