Sunday mornings aren't always easy, as discovered by Alan Hardy over the weekend.
The Notts County chairman and owner made the decision to put his club up for sale just hours after a photograph of a penis appeared in a tweet from Hardy's account.
Hardy insisted in a later statement that the decision had nothing to do with the image, nor did Notts County's current league position.
"This morning an inappropriate photo appeared in one of my tweets," Hardy said. "This was clearly an honest mistake as a result of my camera roll being included in a screenshot. I tried to rectify the error by deleting the tweet as soon as I noticed and I apologise for any offence caused."
With Notts County struggling at the bottom of League Two, the last thing they needed was any negative PR from their owner, who went on to admit that he had already held discussions to sell with two interested parties.
Hardy fulfilled his promise to delete his Twitter account later Sunday evening, stating that it was in the best interests of the football club to do so.
The BBC have now reported that the FA are looking into Hardy's conduct and will ask him to explain his version of events.
