Nottingham Forest have been criticised for taking an 39 minute round-trip flight to Blackpool for their FA Cup Third Round tie.
Forest were comfortably beaten 4-1 by the Championship opposition as goals from Marvin Ekpiteta, Ian Poveda, CJ Hamilton and Jerry Yates all came before Ryan Yates' late consolation.
The club recently partnered with E.ON as a way to "create a greener and more sustainable energy future by encouraging people to take action for climate". Oh the irony.

Despite that partnership they opted to make the *long* distance flight to Lancashire and one fan pointed out that their team coach was spotted outside of the ground.
One Twitter user said: "Nottingham Forest actually flew in and out of Blackpool Airport on a 39-minute roundtrip flight for that FA cup game today.
"They even had their coach ready at the airport (which is now probably going back to Nottingham empty).
"That club has E.ON as a climate awareness partner..."

While the Premier League side will have likely travelled by plane for convenience, others were less than impressed and called out the club.
"I don’t know what’s more ridiculous, the fact they flew to the game or that E.ON are anyone’s climate awareness partner," wrote one user.

Another tweeted: "Shocking example to set in this day and age regardless of which club it is."

A third said: "Unbelievable waste of the world’s resources to fly such a short distance."
Real Madrid were recently criticised for taking a 15 minute flight to an away game against Real Valladolid. Paris Saint-Germain were also slammed for flying a 239 mile journey to play Nantes when they could have gotten the two-hour high speed train.
