PSG forward Neymar is reportedly looking for a move back to Barcelona just one year after moving to Ligue 1 leaders PSG.
Neymar left the Catalan club in a world record move last summer but it is understood that he now has regrets about leaving the Blaugrana.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Neymar is planning a 2019 return to his former club while some people close to the club view it as an alibi before making a move to rivals Real Madrid.
"The Brazilian regrets having left the club to PSG and sent the Catalan club this feeling," Roger Torello and Fernando Polo report.
"He would like to return and broadcast it to players, executives and a manager before the European KO.
"Ney misses his former teammates and admits that he was stubborn trying to get away from the shadow of Messi.
"In Neymar's plans, his return to Barça would not be for next summer but for the year 2019.
"In the Barça the subject is not contemplated today and there are those who see it an alibi before going to Madrid."
Neymar had to be stretchered off in his team's win against Marseille last month after he sprained his ankle and fractured his metatarsal.
Brazil’s team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar confirmed the news to Brazilian media outlets with Neymar currently in Brazil recovering from surgery.
The injury left him in tears, presumably as he realised it could throw his World Cup chances into doubt.
