Homesport

They owed us one.

It was a shaky start for New Balance but consider the new Ireland away jersey a delightful olive branch. The new-look new-make Irish kits have dropped ahead of the September internationals and, although the home one wasn't as disastrous as first feared, it still wasn't great - let's be honest. It wasn't even great with Jon Walters filling it like a dream. The away kit was revealed on Sunday though and it's safe to say that they'll probably jump off the shelves - or hangers - a lot quicker. Ireland have four games left - two away from home - in their bid for World Cup qualification and it's all creeping up frighteningly fast.
  • Georgia v Ireland - September 2
  • Ireland v Serbia - September 5
  • Ireland v Moldova - October 6
  • Wales v Ireland - October 9
Ahead of the final showdown - please spare us playoffs in November - New Balance will showcase their new kits and the white away strip is actually pretty nice. The only way was up, right? https://twitter.com/NBFootball/status/896824010826186753 Simple, plain, neat colour, nice green complimenting the white. And if you need the Jon Walters version before you make your final decision... https://twitter.com/FAIreland/status/896825645531111429 It's a good job. Now the wait for a new jersey to be revealed in a few months time ahead of the World Cup.
