Nathan Collins has enjoyed an exceptional season with Brentford, playing every minute in the Premier League, as the Bees finished in a respectable 10th place.
The Ireland centre-back looks settled after only playing a season each for both Burnley and Wolves.
However, if reports are to be believed, it looks like he could be on the move once more.
But it depends on the situation of Brentford's in-demand manager, Thomas Frank.
The Dane has been heavily linked to succeed the recently sacked Ange Postecoglou at Spurs, and The Borough of Honslouw Herald are reporting that if he does move, he will want to bring Collins with him.
Although their London rivals finished seven places behind Brentford in the Premier League last season, they did qualify for the Champions League, and Collins would be playing in front of an average of around 60,000 fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Frank would also try and bring in Brentford's star winger, Bryan Mbeumo, hijacking Man United's efforts.
But he would likely have to fork out a fair amount, and as he stated himself last month, the Cameroonian is worth a lot.
He said: "It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot.
"Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one. It cannot be done. There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for.
"I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don’t look at him. I would be surprised with what he has to offer.
“How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethic. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player."
