Live TV.

Only for the bravest. It must be a pain in a television reporter's backside, being told that you're going live. So many times, something goes wrong. It might never be disastrous or irreparable but it takes a bit of getting out of and it pops up when you're not ready for it - because it's live. It comes in many forms. Nick Collins fell off a ladder outside Wembley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=368EQES_3kA Jim White summed it up perfectly. Some reporters forget that they're live. https://twitter.com/MartinCap/status/669230678396035073?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Kyle Lafferty could go after your shoes. https://twitter.com/sniperinthemist/status/738405051564232704 Still beats Deadline Day on the streets. Louis van Gaal could go after your hair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZC5UNxmu3E Other times, you might just have to put up with Roy Keane live on air. Adrian Chiles, moody Keane, an interrupted game of football: the perfect storm. Or downpour. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuJIYyYDhF4 The worst is going live with Thierry Henry who has decided he's too cool to finish his sentences. https://twitter.com/KevBeirne/status/764873823854403584 Now Natalie Sawyer is the latest victim. The Sky Sports reporter is at England's training base all day in St. George's Park and everything was going alright. https://twitter.com/Gem_Davies/status/770607413414268928 Until those sprinklers in the distance began to activate further up the pitch. Fortunately for her, the feed cut before the drenching occurred. https://twitter.com/MRMessenger_/status/770615814890332160 Unfortunately for her, she still got soaked. https://twitter.com/Gem_Davies/status/770614179346669569 She took it in good spirits though. https://twitter.com/nataliesawyer/status/770617690843127808 The new GAA Hour football podcast is here.
