While praising the passing ability of in-form Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, Owen placed the Belgian above Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, as well as David Beckham, in his list of the Premier League's greatest ever passers of the ball.
"De Bruyne, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham would be my order," Owen said.
"Scholesy had great vision. Not only could he play a ball, but he had great vision.
"Giggs probably didn’t have the long range ping in his locker like a Beckham or a Scholes, but had unbelievable vision.
"Great vision."
While there's no denying the fact that De Bruyne is enjoying an incredible season and most neutrals would agree that he's front-runner for the Player of the Season award, United fans didn't hesitate to make their opinions known with regards to Owen's claims.
