Mats Hummels drops a big hint that he could be on the move

Mats Hummels has dropped a big hint that he could be leaving Borussia Dortmund.

The German defender, who has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United, says that he will, one day, look to play outside of Germany. "Basically ... I think moving abroad will be good for my professional and personal well being," Hummels told German publication Kicker. "Eventually, I'd like to leave the Bundesliga". Hummels' comments will be music to the ears of Manchester United fans and manager Louis van Gaal, who is reportedly on the search for a central defender in the mould of the 26 year old. The Dortmund captain is comfortable in possession and is an excellent reader of the game. With his club currently sitting in mid-table, 12 points from the Champions League places in the Bundesliga, a summer move may materialise. The defender's transfer valuation, potentially €35 million, will also not be an issue for United. However, Hummels says a transfer hasn't been agreed, and promises to be transparent should any move in the future. "I'm being open about this because I'm not a fan of those who claim they are staying but, behind the scenes, have actually secretly agreed a transfer away from their current club".
