Mount's future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain

Mason Mount has been linked with a move away from Chelsea as talks over his contract continue to stagnate. Mount has been at the club for his whole career and was brought into the first team fold by Frank Lampard in 2019, quickly establishing himself as a first team regular. The 24-year-old has seen his game time limited in recent weeks and according to Marca, his long term future could lie in Spain, with Chelsea preparing to offer him as part of a swap deal for João Félix this summer. Félix joined the Blues on a loan deal until the end of the season but Atlético Madrid are wanting to recoup as much of the £113m they spent on the Portugal international as possible. Graham Potter are hoping that by including Mount, they can bring the price down, however Atlético CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin has reportedly made it clear that they are only interested in a straight cash offer. Chelsea's captain Cesar Azpilicueta hailed the introduction of Félix to the side and the impact he has had on the squad. He said: "I knew him from Atlético Madrid when we played against them and from watching their games in LaLiga.
