Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne will tog out for Napoli tonight after being robbed at gunpoint at the weekend.
The incident happened when the Napoli striker was driving with his wife and two of their friends on Saturday.
Insigne stopped at a set of traffic lights when a masked man on the back of a motorbike that pulled up beside the vehicle forced everyone at gunpoint to hand over their valuables, according to a report in the Guardian. Local media report that the robber got away with a Rolex watch, jewels and €800 in cash.
As the thief drove away he made a rather unusual request of Insigne. The thug asked the striker to dedicate a goal to him during Napoli's Serie A clash against Fiorentina on Monday night.
Insigne's agent, Antonio Ottaiano revealed that the player was shaken up by the incident, although he is expected to play against Fiorentina after training on Monday.
“Lorenzo suffered a terrible experience and told me that it was a really bad moment."
