Mario Gotze may very well leave Bayern Munich this summer, and he could be set to follow Pep Guardiola to England.
The German World Cup winner has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga for some time, and it appears the rumours are true.
A fee of close to £31million will be required to prise him away from the German champions, and according to the Daily Star two hated Premier League rivals are willing to enter a transfer war to secure his signature.
The newspaper is reporting that Liverpool and Manchester United will both try and compete for his attention this summer, with a deal likely to be organised in the weeks just after the Euros.
The midfielder of course worked under Jurgen Klopp when at Borussia Dortmund, while it's understood he is a close friend of current Manchester United player Bastian Schweinsteiger who transferred from Bayern Munich last summer.
His time with Munich has been close to a disaster, as he has suffered from recurring injury issues, and Carlo Ancelotti is understood to have the club to consider bids for him as he begins a clear-out at the club.
The newspaper suggests that he is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Juventus, and his price could rise well beyond an estimated £31million if he does well for Germany at the European Championships this summer.
