Marco Reus has been ruled out of Germany’s Euro 2016 squad… on his birthday

The injury Gods simply don't want to see Reus at a major tournament again.
The 27-year-old has been left out of Joachim Löw's final Euro 2016 squad as the Germany manager is concerned about Reus' fitness. The Borussia Dortmund forward has been battling a groin injury and the German medical staff recommended that Löw cut him from the squad on the same day that Reus turned 27. "Reus can only run straight right now," Löw said. "He could do no more in training. The medical staff was sceptical that he would be fully fit. "It's a bitter decision for him and us. He would be a major gain for our team if he was fit."
Reus also missed out on Germany's victorious World Cup campaign in 2014 due to a torn ligament in his ankle so his luck at major tournaments has been nothing short of woeful.
Bastian Schweinsteiger received some positive news today, though, as the Manchester United midfielder was included in the final 23 on whom Germany will be relying in France.
