Manchester United transfer target Aymeric Laporte suffers horror injury on international duty [GRAPHIC]

This could well scupper any move away from Athletic Bilbao this summer.

Aymeric Laporte suffered a horrific leg break whilst on international duty for France U21s, last night. The Bilbao defender went to ground clutching his face after being hit by a stray arm. Laporte went to plant his foot on the turf but it gave way and left him in a heap. After several minutes of on-field treatment, he needed to be stretchered off.

Laporte has reportedly damaged some ankle ligaments but further scans today will determine how long he is going to be out of action. The 21-year-old has been heavily linked to Manchester United and Manchester City in the past 12 months.
