On Thursday, Lee O'Connor showed just why Manchester United signed him to a three-year contract in the summer.
Not yet a household name, O'Connor looks well on his way to stardom given the skills he possesses and he put them on display to condemn Turkey's U17 side to a second defeat in 48 hours.
The current Turkey underage group, that lined out against the Republic of Ireland U17 team twice this week, had not been beaten previously prior to Tuesday, when Colin O'Brien's side overturned them 2-0.

And on Thursday, Ireland fired three past them to record a second win of the week for the literal Boys in Green as they continued to impress amid their preparations for the Uefa U17 Championships Qualifying Round.
Lee O'Connor's winner was the standout move of the match as he claimed possession in his own half, ran tirelessly at the Turkish defence, jinked his way inside a defender and calmly slotted beyond the stretching Turkish goalkeeper.

The Waterford youngster looks a real talent and with his ability to play at both full back and midfield, we expect to see him making a case for a role in the senior set-up after a few more years of development.
