Uefa's choice for Man of the Match added insult to Manchester United's injury.

Hector Moreno was the controversial choice. The PSV defender's challenge resulted in Luke Shaw suffering an horrific double leg fracture and the 20 year old now faces at least six months on the sidelines. Moreno also scored in the Dutch side's 2-1 win, but, according to Jamie Jackson, The Guardian's Manchester football correspondent, United still aren't happy with Uefa's choice for the award.GettyImages-488328428"We find it strange and disappointing Uefa made him their man of the match after what happened to Luke," a United source is quoted. The award is decided by Uefa's reporting team, who cover Champions League games, but they weren't the only ones to bestow the honour on the Mexican defender.psv man utdFootball statistics website Whoscored.com also gave Moreno the award for the best player on show. However, the most important thing now is for Shaw to make a full recovery.
